Sibley East graduate Alex Reichenbach has been named as the manager of the Arlington A’s baseball team for the 2018 season.

The Arlington Baseball Board made the move during its monthly meeting on Wednesday night, Jan. 10.

“I am extremely excited to be the manager of the A's for this summer,” said Reichenbach, who has been a member of the Gaylord Islanders baseball team for several years. “I know a few eyebrows were raised about me making the switch from Gaylord to Arlington, but as I’ve pointed out to a few people, I consider myself a man of the Sibley East baseball community. This means that, while I’ve grown up playing baseball for Gaylord, I’ve always prioritized the game and the community over personal feelings. I’ve always been willing to pitch in to try to help out all levels of baseball here from t-ball to town team because this is my home and I love this game and I want the proud tradition of these communities to continue.”
