The Arlington City Council, during its regular meeting on Monday night, June 18, unanimously approved a motion to hire Shannon Nix as the new administrative assistant for the City of Arlington.

City Council members Michelle Battcher, Adam Cowell, Tom Hatlestad, Jim Heiland and James Jaszewski all voted in favor of the motion.

The Administration Department is in the process of doing the necessary background work on Nix, obtaining a computer for her use and finalizing her start date, according to City Administrator Patrick Melvin.
