The cities of Arlington and Gaylord are exploring a possible merger of their ambulance services.

Arlington City Administrator Pat Melvin, when asked by the Arlington Enterprise, confirmed the news on Tuesday morning, Jan. 15.

The issue has not been on the agenda at recent Arlington City Council meetings and talks between the two cities have flown under the radar.

The talks originated with individual meetings and expanded to small group meetings, according to Melvin. Two small group meetings have been held, the most recent in Gaylord on Monday night, Jan. 14.
