School Board receives update on elementary playground equipment

The Sibley East School Board, during its regular monthly meeting on Monday night, June 19, received an update from Elementary Principal Mari Lu Martens on the progress of the playground at the new elementary school in Gaylord.  


Martens reported that she had good news and had raised $121,355 out of the $138,000 needed for the playground equipment. She stated they were close. She explained that the $121,355 was committed funds.


Martens explained that she sent packets and letters to 200 businesses and individuals for donations. She stated that they received a $25,000 donation from an anonymous
