The visiting Sibley East varsity football team opened its season with a 49-0 loss to St. Peter on Thursday night, Aug. 30.

The Wolverines fell behind quickly as St. Peter returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown.

A fumble and interception also hurt as Sibley East fell behind 35-0 by halftime.

The highlight of the evening for the Wolverines was a 90-yard punt return by senior Kameron In down to the St. Peter 4-yard line midway through the third quarter.
