The Sibley East School Board, during its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday night, Nov. 22, discussed an offer from the Arlington United Methodist Church to purchase the empty lot located on the northeast corner of West Brooks Street and Third Avenue. The lot is a lot and a half and is 75 feet wide and 120.75 feet deep.

In a letter to Superintendent Jim Amsden, Rev. Rod Stemme stated that the Board of Trustees from the church noticed a shortage of parking at the school during school events. The church anticipates this will become a greater issue with all varsity sporting events being held at the Arlington campus in the future.
