Three former Sibley East wrestlers competed in the Finn Grinacker Open at Concordia College in Moorhead last weekend, according to wrestling enthusiast Troy Mogard.

Three-time high school state champion Nathan Rose, who wrestles for University of Minnesota, posted a 4-1 record and placed third in the heavyweight division.

 Aaron Bates, who wrestles for St. Cloud State University, posted a 2-3 record and placed sixth. Bates wrestled in the 174-pound division.
Tyler Pasvogel, who also wrestles at St. Cloud State University, compiled a 1-2 record and did not place. Pasvogel, who wrestles at 133 pounds, lost twice in overtime.

Bates and Pasvogel could both see some varsity matches this year.
