The Green Isle Irish baseball team posted a 2-1 record in the annual Miller Lite Invitational last weekend.
Since Watkins dropped out of the tournament, a round robin was played between Green Isle, Hamel and Bird Island to determine which teams would advance to the winners round and the consolation round.

Waconia defeated Chanhassen 4-2 in the championship game at Hamburg on Sunday night, June 28.
Waconia second baseman Ron Olsen was selected as the Most Valuable Player for the Miller Lite Invitational.

Green Isle will travel to Young America at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 2. The Irish will also travel to Belle Plaine at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 7.
