A second half rally came up short as the visiting Sibley East varsity girls basketball team lost to Mayer Lutheran 63-55 during the opening round of the Section 2AA North Sub Section Girls Basketball Tournament on Monday night, March 2.
The Lady Wolverines, who trailed 36-25 at halftime, rallied and pulled within four points with about two minutes left in the game.
