A number of letterwinners return for the Sibley East varsity boys basketball team that reached the sub section title game last season and finished with a 20-9 record overall.

Although a number of letterwinners are back, the Wolverines will need to replace 1,000-plus career scorers Gavin Bates and Austin Weckwerth among others.

“We have to replace 83 percent of our scoring offense which generally is not an easy thing to do,” explained Sibley East head coach Dan Meier. “It will open up opportunities for players to step forward this season.”

The returning seniors include Christian Beckefeld, Aaron Deis, Brandon Donaldson, Kameron In, Ty Kancke, Jens Lundstrom, Austin Snyder and Ryan Wolverton.
