Cole Bruhn places 5th at MRC meet

The Sibley East varsity boys cross country team, led by senior Cole Bruhn, placed fifth during the Minnesota River Conference Cross Country Meet at Watertown-Mayer on Thursday afternoon, Oct. 9.
Jordan captured top honors with 30 team points while Belle Plaine finished second with 47 team points. Norwood Young America (70), Tri-City United (98), Sibley East (122), Watertown-Mayer (195), Le Sueur-Henderson (207) and Mayer Lutheran (214) rounded out the field.
Bruhn placed fifth with a career best time of 17:27 and among 56 runners. He earned a medal and all conference honors.
Junior Justin Bennett placed 27th with a season best time of 18:52 while junior Jack Ballalatak finished 29th with a season best time of 19:01. Freshman Kristian Schow placed 30th with a season best clocking of 19:02 while freshman Logan Tesch finished 31st with a season best showing of 19:03. Sam Thies placed 34th with a time of 19:11 while senior Korbann Strand finished 39th with a season best time of 19:27.
